Overview

NBR090 is the right-angle planetary gearbox example documented from DESBOER’s official performance sheet. The table pairs single-stage ratios 3 through 10 with different rated output torques. The P1 precision grade is shown here with a maximum backlash of 4 arcmin; other precision grades and two-stage configurations have different limits. Rated input speed is 4,000 rpm for this frame. Maximum acceleration torque and emergency-stop torque are separate limits and must not replace the rated output torque when sizing continuous work. Confirm the motor adapter, output shaft loads and lubrication conditions against the manufacturer drawing.

A planetary gearbox shares load across several planet gears. Confirm nominal and peak torque separately, together with ratio, input speed, backlash and mounting dimensions.

• Confirm continuous, peak and emergency-stop load limits separately.
• Match the motor flange, shaft, mounting orientation and lubrication requirements.
• Request the current drawing revision and selection calculation from the manufacturer.
