Choose the frame, precision grade and load path together.

DESBOER's NB inline and NBR right-angle planetary ranges address different installation envelopes. Their official catalogues separate frame size, ratio, stage count and backlash grade. For a servo-driven belt, rack, cam or positioning axis, the selected combination and the load location matter more than a family headline.

A precision grade is not a blanket specification for the range.

The NB sheet provides separate P0, P1 and P2 backlash rows, each divided by stage count. NB060 has no published P0 value in that table. NB090 does have a single-stage P0 value of ≤1 arcmin. Do not transfer the larger frame's grade to NB060.

NB060 · single-stage

The two-stage NB060 rows instead list P1 ≤5 and P2 ≤7 arcmin. Specify stage count along with the grade.

NBR090 · right-angle, single-stage

P0 backlash: ≤2 arcmin
P1 backlash: ≤4 arcmin
P2 backlash: ≤6 arcmin

The two-stage NBR090 rows list P0 ≤4, P1 ≤7 and P2 ≤9 arcmin. These values describe NBR090, not an interchangeable NB model.

For acceptance, agree the exact model, output reference, measurement load, method and report. A published backlash limit alone does not establish the positioning accuracy of a complete axis: couplings, belts, racks, structural compliance and control also contribute.

NB · inline motor axis

Start with motor flange, pilot, bolt circle, shaft diameter and shaft engagement. Confirm the output shaft option and machine mounting face against the selected drawing.

The NB outline sheet labels S2 as the keyed output-shaft option and S1 as the smooth-shaft option. S2 is not a safe way to infer two-stage reduction. State the actual stage count separately in the quotation and approved drawing.

NBR · redirect the input axis

A right-angle input can move the motor away from the driven shaft's axis. Check the complete motor/gearbox envelope, access for assembly, motor cable routing and interference throughout machine travel.

Use the NBR drawing and ratings for the ordered frame. NB dimensions, efficiency and backlash values are not substitutes for a right-angle configuration.

Ratio changes the rated torque within a single frame.

These are selected single-stage rows from two independent official frame columns. They demonstrate configuration changes within each family; they are not a like-for-like ranking of a size-060 inline unit against a size-090 right-angle unit.

That frame column lists 5,000 rpm rated input and 10,000 rpm maximum input separately. Ask the supplier to confirm the selected ratio's torque, speed, thermal duty and life together.

The NBR090 column lists 4,000 rpm rated input and 8,000 rpm maximum input. Single-stage efficiency is listed as >95%; the NB sheet lists >97% for its single-stage configurations.

The sheets distinguish rated torque from maximum acceleration torque (1.8 times rated) and emergency torque (3 times rated). These peak multipliers do not define an allowed repeated cycle or emergency-stop energy. Provide the actual time history and obtain the selected model's duty confirmation.

Bearing loads have a reference condition

Show where the belt, rack or cam force acts.

The catalogue footnote ties external-load ratings to 100 rpm output and the centre of the output shaft. A force farther from the bearing reference changes the bending moment.

These are separately published limits. Do not assume all three are available simultaneously under every speed, life or load direction.

Belt or pulley drive

Send pulley diameter, belt pretension, transmitted torque and overhang from the mounting/shaft reference. Ask for the permissible bearing load and service life with that complete force diagram.

Rack-and-pinion axis

Provide pinion pitch radius, axis force, acceleration, orientation and support arrangement. Include separating forces and reversals, rather than calculating the gearbox only from steady torque.

Cam or indexing mechanism

Provide angular motion, reflected inertia, load versus angle, dwell, starts and stopping cycle. Confirm torsional stiffness, permitted peak loads and coupling selection for the actual indexing motion.

Motor-side compatibility

Include the motor manufacturer's exact model and drawing. Agree shaft fit, engagement, clamping procedure, pilot and bolt sizes; a matching nominal flange size does not resolve every interface.

The official website header and footer identify Changzhou Nanpeng Machinery Co., Ltd. Its company introduction also names 德世博尔（江苏）传动科技有限公司 and describes establishing the Changzhou operation in 2014. Confirm the contracting and manufacturing entities on the supplier's current quotation and qualification documents.

Changzhou's Science and Technology Bureau named 常州南鹏机械有限公司 among Lijia businesses visited on 23 October 2023. That provides a dated local identity reference; it does not certify NB or NBR performance.

The supplier describes precision planetary-reducer development, production and sales, with applications in robotics, machine tools, food/packaging machinery, printing and automation. For your order, request the approved drawing revision, assembly and backlash inspection records, material/process documentation relevant to the selected model, traceable identification and maintenance instructions.
