STARSHINE DRIVE · industrial geared drivesXingguang Transmission
Choose the shaft arrangement before the motor package.
Guangdong Xingguang Transmission supplies standard geared drives alongside motors, inverters and application-specific transmission systems. Its R coaxial, K bevel-helical and RV worm ranges solve different installation tasks. Compare the output geometry and actual operating point, rather than treating their catalogue limits as one interchangeable drive.
Installation comes first
Three different ways to connect the machine.
The following values are the manufacturer’s published series envelopes. The pages do not pair each output speed with a particular motor power, ratio, input speed or continuous torque. A matched frame-and-ratio selection is still necessary.

R · coaxial helical
Published output speed: 5–415 rpm. Applicable input power: 0.12–160 kW. Inline motor and output geometry suits a machine where the axial installation length is acceptable.
Listed inputs: direct three-phase asynchronous motor, AQA servo, AD shaft and AM flange.
Official R series →
RV · worm transmission
Published output speed: 14–280 rpm. Applicable input power: 0.06–11 kW. The official description lists die-cast aluminium housing, synthetic oil and motor, shaft or flange input alternatives.
A compact right-angle installation is a different purchase from an R inline drive. Ask for the exact bore, flange, mounting position and thermal duty.
Official RV series →K · bevel-helical for a right-angle drive path
The K page publishes 7–415 rpm output speed and 0.12–160 kW input power. Consider K when the input/output shaft direction needs to turn through a right angle, then check the ordered output arrangement and external loads. Its product text lists direct motor, AQA servo and AM flange inputs; the accompanying rating graphic also shows AD shaft input. Specify that interface explicitly in a quotation rather than assuming every K configuration includes it.
For a conveyor replacement, send the existing output-axis location, shaft/bore dimensions, reaction mounting and speed at the conveyor. For packaging or intermittent indexing, add the acceleration cycle, starts per hour and motor/controller arrangement. These are purchase decisions, not evidence that every series has been tested on the buyer’s machine.
The torque row belongs to the frame, not the whole power range.
The official R and K graphics label these as “Old Type” designations and rated output torque. They are useful frame references, not complete speed–torque operating tables. The graphics do not state the rating’s input speed, life basis, service factor or transient duration; request a current configuration sheet for the actual load.
| R frame reference | Listed rated torque | K frame reference | Listed rated torque |
|---|---|---|---|
| R37 | 200 Nm | K37 | 200 Nm |
| R67 | 600 Nm | K67 | 820 Nm |
| R97 | 3,000 Nm | K97 | 4,300 Nm |
| R137 | 8,000 Nm | K127 | 13,000 Nm |
| R167 | 18,000 Nm | K157 | 18,000 Nm |
These selected rows preserve the two original designation lists. R137 and K127 are different frame references, not a claim of equivalent dimensions. Never combine the smallest output speed, the largest listed power and an unrelated frame’s torque into one hypothetical machine.

Separate gearing, motor and control requirements.
R and K gear manufacturing
The official pages describe forged alloy-steel gears, carburizing/hardening and gear grinding. Their efficiency statement is above 96% for a single stage; it is not the total efficiency of every multi-stage drive or geared motor. For acceptance, ask for the selected gear material, hardness and case-depth records if they are requirements of your project.
RV materials and heat duty
The worm-series page describes carbonitrided and ground alloy-steel worms and a copper-alloy worm wheel identified as KK material by the supplier. Confirm the actual supplied specification, lubricant grade, mounting orientation and allowable running temperature. Do not assume self-locking or holding safety from the word “worm.”
Complete drive package
The company lists motors and inverters as separate product groups. A variable-speed conveyor brief should state supply voltage/frequency, minimum running speed, cooling, braking and control interface. Mechanical ratio and inverter frequency together determine the output speed; the gearbox’s broad speed envelope is not a motor-control specification.
Xingguang also lists F parallel-shaft, S helical-worm, B/JXJ cycloidal, NCJ gear drives and SCK hypoid ranges, alongside industry-specific transmission products. Its company page identifies ceramic edging, raw-material mixing and construction lifting among its development directions. For a mixer, provide the shaft bending moment, axial load and bearing arrangement; for lifting, define the brake, back-driving conditions and safety requirements separately. An industry listing is a route to a technical enquiry, not an installation reference for your particular load.
A Foshan manufacturing identity, with a separate evidence trail.
The official site connects STARSHINE DRIVE to the Chinese legal company 广东星光传动股份有限公司 and gives the Baini/Sanshui factory address above. A 18 July 2024 Yunan government recruitment notice independently lists that same company and address, with CNC turning, drilling and maintenance roles. That corroborates a dated identity/location record; it does not certify the performance of a reducer.
The supplier describes in-house core-component machining and research facilities on its company and technical pages. Its company page currently shows both 500,000 and 300,000 reducers per year in different passages. We do not turn those inconsistent claims into a production-capacity promise. For a scheduled purchasing programme, request the actual line capacity, lead time and inspection plan for your model and batch.
Give Xingguang a configuration to quote.
Start with R, K or RV and a drawing of the installation. A concrete operating point is more useful than a request for “the maximum torque gearbox.”
Save this manufacturer to include it in your request.- Series, existing designation and motor/gearbox interface; include flange, shaft or bore dimensions.
- Input speed and desired output speed, running torque, peak magnitude/duration and starts per hour.
- Radial/axial loads and their positions; mounting orientation, temperature and hours of continuous running.
- Motor voltage/frequency, inverter speed range, cooling and brake/holding requirements.
- Quantity and delivery schedule; request the matched rating calculation, drawing, lubricant and agreed acceptance documents.
