Supror's range combines WP/SRV worm drives, R/F/K/S geared units and SPN planetary reducers. Its official website also describes contract manufacture and a material-to-delivery inspection process. WP single-stage family

Compact right-angle transmission, selected against its duty.

Supror identifies WP as its first reducer type and describes a rigid sealed housing with a single worm-drive stage. The WPO page names both WPO and WPX in its parameter table and specifies shaft input, shaft output and foot mounting.

These are family ranges. Request the chosen size and ratio's rating at the actual input speed, load cycle, mounting position and ambient temperature; the range endpoints do not define one combined operating point.

Resolve the installation before ordering a replacement.

The official page gives nonwoven-fabric equipment as an application and also lists logistics, automation and rubber machinery. In each case, the driven machine—not the motor nameplate alone—sets the load.

Geometry

Reproduce the shaft and mounting relationship.

Send the existing reducer plate, photographs and a measured drawing: centre distance, foot holes, shaft diameters/lengths, key dimensions, shaft direction and coupling or pulley position. State WPO/WPX orientation and available access for assembly and service.

Line operation

Separate steady pull, starting load and stoppages.

For a web or roller line, provide line speed, roller diameter, web tension/process force, reflected inertia, starts and reversals. Include jam and emergency-stop scenarios and how other drives synchronise. Agree the reduction ratio and actual operating-speed band.

Heat & support

Give the supplier the environment and force diagram.

Provide continuous-running hours, load spectrum, enclosure/ventilation, ambient temperature and lubricant requirements. Show belt/chain loads and their lever arm. Obtain permitted shaft loads, bearing-life calculation and lubrication arrangement for the selected installation.

Protection

Define safe holding and stopping separately.

Where the machine needs to hold a load or stop predictably, specify brakes, guards, interlocks and control responsibilities. Ask for the agreed protection system rather than treating a worm-drive ratio as a guarantee of safe holding.

Procurement and quality

Turn the published production process into deliverable records.

Supror's production page separates incoming materials, processing, semi-finished storage, completed units and exit inspection. Ask which checks apply to your order and how their results are tied to a batch or serial number.

  1. Incoming materials

    Agree material grade and traceability, hardness requirements and casting/porosity acceptance. Supror lists material analysis and hardness among incoming checks; specify the required report and sampling plan.

  2. Machining and components

    Agree dimensional/geometric tolerances, gear inspection and side clearance. Define which critical interfaces are measured, how the measuring equipment is controlled and the record retained.

  3. Assembly and running

    The website names noise, leakage, test running and loading checks. State speed, load, duration, mounting, lubrication, acceptance limits and whether the test is per unit or sampled.

  4. Release and identification

    Match model, ratio, installation arrangement and order information. Include serial/batch records, operating instructions, preservation, packaging and inspection-document delivery.

Ask for a test you can interpret.

The R&D page describes a loaded performance bench and measuring equipment for gears and dimensions. For a requested report, identify the exact unit, input/output speeds and torques, efficiency calculation, temperature stabilisation, vibration/noise method and instrument calibration.

For special material, process or precision requirements, agree the inspection plan before manufacture. A photograph of equipment does not replace the selected model's rating or delivered inspection record.

OEM / ODM and supply scope

Put ownership of the specification in writing.

The official company page identifies Hangzhou and Anji manufacturing bases and names transmission, machinery-technology and import/export businesses. Confirm the contracting entity, manufacturing site and service contact on the quotation.

The national standards platform lists Hangzhou Supror among the drafting organisations for JB/T 15303-2025, a right-angle gear-reducer standard effective 1 July 2026. That is standards-development participation, not WPO/WPX product certification.

For a private-label drive

Agree who controls drawings, revisions, materials, gear processes and substitutions. Specify marking, serial traceability, test records, manuals and whether service spares remain identifiable to the original configuration.

For an adapted machine drive

Supply the machine interfaces and load case. Obtain a written selection calculation and approved assembly drawing; identify what is standard, modified or custom, and the effect on lead time and maintenance.

For an ongoing supply programme

Agree first-article acceptance, repeat-batch sampling, change notification, packaging and spare-part support. Keep manufacturing changes and commercial delivery promises separate from model performance limits.
